POGS enables surgeons and anesthesiologists from developing countries to receive advanced training at leading clinical institutions to allow them to return to their countries to attend to children who would otherwise not receive the care they need.
Building Pediatric Surgical Capacity for the Developing World
We support advanced training by enabling qualified surgeons or anesthesiologists from developing countries to train at leading hospitals. Our programs are embedded within established clinical environments and provide hands‑on experience under expert supervision.
Each fellowship includes a defined curriculum, mentorship from senior surgeons / anesthesiologists, and exposure to cutting-edge technology and systems of care. Our goal is to ensure that every participant returns home prepared to deliver safe, effective, and high-quality pediatric care.
In addition to clinical training, both programs cover salary and tuition.
