Enabling Advanced Pediatric Surgical Training Programs
POGS enables surgeons from developing countries to receive advanced pediatric surgical training at leading clinical institutions to allow them to return to their countries to operate on children who would otherwise not receive the care they need.
Building Pediatric Surgical Capacity for the Developing World
We support advanced pediatric surgical training by enabling qualified surgeons from developing countries to train at leading hospitals. Our programs are embedded within established clinical environments and provide hands‑on experience under expert supervision.
Each fellowship includes a defined curriculum, mentorship from senior surgeons, and exposure to cutting-edge surgical technology and systems of care. Our goal is to ensure that every participating surgeon returns home prepared to deliver safe, effective, and high-quality pediatric surgery.
In addition to clinical training, we provide comprehensive logistical and financial support, including salary, housing assistance, insurance, and program administration. This allows hospitals to incur no cost and fellows to receive training they would otherwise never have access to.
